단 5분의 순종

주님께서 보여 주신 것에 순종하라. 그러면 즉시 다음 것이 펼쳐질 것이다. 성령의 역사에 대해 많은 연구를 하지만, 단 5분의 담대한 순종이 햇살처럼 시야를 밝게 한다. '언젠가 이것들을 이해하게 될 것이라'고 생각하지만 지금 바로 이해할 수 있다. 연구가 아니라 순종이 주님의 뜻을 이해하게 한다. 한편의 작은 순종으로도 하늘이 열리고, 하나님의 심오한 진리를 즉시 알게 된다. 당신이 이미 알고 있는 것을 순종하기 전에는 하나님께서 결코 더 많은 진리를 계시하지 않으신다. - 오스왈드 챔버스

Obey God in the thing He shows you, and instantly the next thing is opened up. One reads tomes on the work of the Holy Spirit, when one five minutes of drastic obedience would make things as clear as a sunbeam. 'I suppose I shall understand these things some day!' You can understand them now. It is not study that does it, but obedience. The tiniest fragment of obedience, and heaven opens and the profoundest truths of God are yours straight away. God will never reveal more truth about Himself until you have obeyed what you know already.
